Broadcasted 16 May 2003 on Fréquence Paris Plurielle (F.P.P.) FM 106.3
(90 min french/malagasy)
Speaker: Claudia Solofolandy, Fano engineering.

Interview:
1/ Talks with Joël Andrianomearisoa, malagasy young architect and designer. Joël Andrianomearisoa is one of the young artists that emerged in Madagascar at the middle of the 90's. As Samoëla or Ricky in the songs, and Mialy in the dance, Joël "A" (this was his artist name at this time) brought new visions and modern art in sculpture and fashion. Using deliberately natural and traditional materials, his creations are obviously contemporary but contain all the malagasy soul. Joël Andrianomearisoa works with the french magazine Revue Noire and participates at the most famous African Contemporary Art festivals all around the world (France, Germany, Africa). He dressed the participants at the Opening Show for the African Championship Football Meeting (CAN) in 2002 in Bamako, Mali.
2/ Rahary is a "travelling merchant" in Antananarivo. She complains about the abuse of power made by some policemen that take advantage of the weakness of the poor merchants to get "free food" by confiscating their goods.
